Troop 228 will be participating in the Muscoot District Camporee. This Camporee is aptly named the “Zombie Apocalypse Survival Weekend,” as it is the weekend prior Halloween.  It is a district-wide 2 night camping event where scouts from many different troops will come together and see who has the skills to survive!  Where: Putnam County Veteran Memorial Park. Approximately 20 – 25 minutes drive from most of Somers.   The Camporee will include contests and demonstrations of outdoor Scouting skills as well as campfires, games, skits.  Cost is $20 per scout and $25 per adult participant for Sat breakfast/lunch/dinner and Sun breakfast.)   Signup and payment is due this coming Monday, October 16th (Cash or Check to Troop 228 Somers).
