Columbus Day Hike at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Meet at 8:30 am at Michigan Road Parking Lot by Site 5.

The hike will be approximately 6 miles and cover varied terrain within the park. Assistant Scoutmaster Jim Altieri and Committee Chair Joe Witkiewicz will be leading hike.

What to bring:

– Hiking boots (NO sneakers!!!)
– rainjacket (of course the forecast is for rain, we are Troop 228 and it always rains!)
– daypack (small backpack, not your overnight)
– water (at least 2 full nalgene water bottles, if you have a water bladder put it in your daypack)
– Lunch & snacks
– compass
– toilet paper and shovel
– a smile!
