On Friday the 13^th you can arrive at your convenience at Camp Conewago, 450 Boy Scout Rd, New Oxford, Pa. We will be at Tent Site 4 and 5, be prepared for a typical tent camp out.  These sites are located right next to the Lower Parking lot. If anyone would like to arrive early on Friday you can join us at the Williams Grove Speedway to see the Dirt Classic Qualifier at 7:30pm. http://www.williamsgrove.com/  Bring ear plugs and this will be a blast!

Saturday the 14th, the Troop will provide breakfast and we will then participate in the Battle Walk which begins at 10:00am at Longstreet Tower, West Confederate Ave.  It is a two hour, narrated walk which will describe Kershaw’s Brigade’s march.  A ranger will be leading the group.  After, we will break for lunch and can visit the museum.  Then the Scouts, along with their families, can hike either the Johnny Reb trail (4 miles, 2.5 hours to complete) or the Billy Yank trail  (10 miles, 6 hours to complete).  These hikes along with visiting the museum satisfy requirements for the Historic Gettysburg patch/award.  To be clear families can choose to participate or you cam explore on your own.  If you do want to hike please remember; daypacks with snacks, water, proper foot gear.  Be prepared to hike. https://www.nps.gov/gett/index.htm

We will then return to Camp and the Troop will provide dinner to be served by 7:30.  Campfire to follow. 

Sunday breakfast will be provided.  Then back home.
